On motonormativity.
Motonormativity is a shared bias whereby people judge motorised mobility differently to other comparable topics. This works against societies addressing climate and public health crises effectively.

Identifying, nurturing and empowering alternative mobility narratives.
Our mainstream mobility thinking is narrowly framed: it highlights the role of mobility in economic and urban growth, individual speed and system efficiency, but obscures its role in reproducing inequalities, and in driving unsustainable developments on a global scale.

Why mobility language matters.
In our lives we cannot escape using language: to think about the world, to identify problems, to construct solutions, and to develop and share ideas. Language might just have been one of the key drivers under human development as social beings: it allowed humans to develop meaningful common constructs that gave rise to communities.

Movement
In this book, journalist Thalia Verkade and researcher Marco te Brömmelstroet set out to answer one fundamental question: Who owns the street? They uncover how traffic has taken over our public space—and reveal that a completely different design is not only possible, but within reach.

Transformative or incumbent futures? How the future of mobility is imagined in sustainability transitions research.
How actors relate to the future has long been considered important in research on the governance of transformations towards sustainability. Recent contributions have explored the politics at play in the ‘making’ of futures and the forming of collective expectations.
Non-boring mobility innovations
"Non-Boring Mobility Innovations" is a thought-provoking collection of essays by talented urban planning students of the University of Amsterdam, who delve into the complexities of modern transportation systems. This captivating compilation challenges conventional wisdom and presents fresh ideas to redefine the way we think about mobility and our streets. Since we're printing on demand the delivery time is a bit longer.

From temporary arrangements to permanent change: Assessing the transitional capacity of city street experiments
IIn response to acute urban mobility and livability challenges, city street experiments have emerged as a way to explore possible solutions for alternative futures. While the added value of these experiments to improve urban living conditions is widely acknowledged, their potential to stimulate larger system change remains unknown.

The role of municipalities and their impact on the transitional capacity of city street experiments: Lessons from Ghent.
City street experiments have proven to possess a transitional capacity to achieve system change in urban mobility. Because they challenge the status quo, such experiments often face institutional barriers that can limit their transitional capacity.

Wanna help
There are my ideas within the Lab for thought provoking experiments. Here is a list of current and potential Fieldlabs that we need support on. If you’re interested feel free to reach out and explore how to make that work.
We’re a not for profit foundation so most of the fieldlabs are on a voluntering basis.
Fieldlab: Legoplates
The way we educate our children is a key to keep their minds open to the way we look at reality. So it suprisign that the car dominant narrative is trongly represneted in toys. Like lego. Where are the cycling paths on Lego plates? We have one concept of the Bike inclusive version ready. But it is in a museum. We want to scale it into living rooms. We need help to productize the idea at large.
Fieldlab: Summer sacrifice documentary
One of the fieldlabs is supporting De Warme Winkel in staging their story on rituals to say goodbye to cars. We are planning to make a documentary about this incredible valuable play so it can be staged across the globe. We need experts, directors and a project lead.
Fieldlab: New NCAP
Whenever you buy a car there is quite some information on the safety of the car. Well at least, for the people inside the car. With limited space in cities and increasing car size it’s quite strange there is no rating for the impact of cars on the people and the environment outside the car. We’re setting up an alternativce NCAP. We need help from experts in the field.
Spinoff Fieldlab: Punkparklet 2.0
After the succes of the Punkparklet 1.0 we're scaling it to a 2.0 version. With the great help of soon to be announced global partner, we need someone to lead this project.
Spinoff Fieldlab: Just street
The Just street project has been running for two years with great success. Both impact and partner wise as financial. It’s time to spinoff this fieldlab. We’re looking for someone to own it and to scale across Europe.
Fieldlab: Super Supporter
Some projects around the globe are so cool and impactful that we would like to support the initiators with help. Every year we select one of these projects and instead of financial support we like to give them expert support. Either it’s practical or strategic, we like to build a list of experts we can send out. Are you that expert in mobility, pm, digital product innovation, research or do you just own a straight pair of helping hands, get on that list!
